Hidden Valley Golf Club Wedding in Norco, CA
I had only driven by the Hidden Valley exit off the 15 freeway, until I meet this delightful bride and groom. Now that I have been there, I can’t wait to photograph at this location again! I loved the immense floor to ceiling windows in the reception/ceremony area, the vast mountain scenery, and the “mountain man” esq bar. It is an intimate venue that we (Megan Siana of Siana Photography and I) loved shooting there, because of it’s amazing light, and various background opportunities!
Ian and Kelly started their day at the Ayres Suites Corona West, the girls in a two room suite and the guys in a room with its own island bar set up. We did all photos of the guys and girls first by a beautiful wall adjacent to the parking lot. Thankfully the rain stayed away in patches of time that helped us out!
They had their wedding at the golf club house in the reception room, which was staged so BEAUTIFULLY in front of the large windows, that you forgot we were inside. Afterwards we took the bridal party and the couple around outside to get all their portraits done. Because the one big request I got from the was to have the whole bridal party take a shot at the bar together before the reception officially started.
So that was how they strutted to their reception: Danced from the door way to the bar! (I will now suggest that to every couple!)
Ian and Kelly are the type of couple that once you’re friends with them, you’re family for life. The toasts from their best man, maid of honor, and family ended in happy tears remembering the life that Ian and Kelly individually and together spent pouring into everyone around them. They detailed their wedding day to pick out what was most important: a memorial to honor Ian’s father (whom he lost a few years back), plenty of time to meet an greet every guest, Mickey & Minnie ears to decorate the head table, and an amazing DJ who took requests, played to the mood of the room and helped keep the timeline on point.
