Jeff and Danielle are an energetic, fiercely loyal couple of kids in love. They wanted their wedding to be fun and memorable and it was exactly that. The theme was vintage, fun and Top Gun! The couple’s unique venue and classic vibes plus a lot of dancing, made this wedding ‘one for the books’! Their special day took place at Cal Aero. We wanted to feature the amazing facility as much as possible since it was such a huge inspiration for their theme and décor.
Our day started in the watch tower room with the bride and her maids, while the men got ready in a dapper flight lounge. Danielle wore a mermaid style dress with cap sleeves and her hair in a glamorous side-swept style that was so fitting with their vintage theme. She wanted to be comfy for all the dancing later, so Danielle wore bright, royal blue, glittery Keds that looked so fun peeking out from her beautiful dress. While Jeff looked dapper in his suit, he also opted for more comfortable footwear in his complimentary, dark red lace up Vans. The bridal party consisted of family members and friends, that the couple considers family. The bridal party’s main focus was that Jeff and Danielle have fun and felt supported and celebrated! The bride asked that along with the more traditional photos, more candid photos be taken as well. As a result, her favorite photo is of the bridal party making silly faces at one another!
To start off their unique ceremony, the bride taxied down the runway before meeting her groom at the altar. Talk about making an entrance! One of the truly beautiful parts of their ceremony consisted of the couple planting a tree together to symbolize their dedication to each other, to growing in this new phase of life together and to keeping their relationship healthy and strong. Throughout the ceremony, it was evident how loved and supported Danielle and Jeff are by their family and friends. Those feelings carried through to the reception with a huge helping of celebration! It was all kicked off by the bridal party entering the hangar from an indoor balcony followed by the bride and groom. Jeff and Danielle wasted no time starting their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”. As soon as the song was over everyone flooded the dance floor, there were plenty of bar runs and celebratory cigars were enjoyed by the men. To keep the theme and the party going after this special day was over, guests were given a beer cosy that quoted Top Gun’s character’s Maverick and Iceman. “You can be my wingman any time.” “Bullshit! You can be mine.” Jeff and Danielle, may you be growing and celebrating for many years to come.
