Fall: The Season of Change

Like every other woman in California I pretend fall is happening even in 90 degree weather.  But lately as it’s been cooling down I sit back with my hot coffee (no, not a pumpkin spice latte) and accept the shift in atmosphere.

Not as much temperature, but the feeling.  Everyone is gearing up for the holidays season. Planning portrait sessions to display on a Christmas Card, pulling out thanksgiving turkey art made by little hands, downloading pinterest ideas for your Elf on A Shelf (or Christmas Time Angel in our home), and secretly waiting for christmas movies to start playing on Hallmark or Lifetime.  For me it also usually means buying a few shirts that go with leggings then promise myself, not to buy anything for myself until Christmas is over.

Anyone else?!

For my photography business it means hanging up the wedding gear bag and pulling out the family portrait gear.  It also means changing up my hair color a little bit since I’m not reporting to wedding venues.  And of course…. Paying the AMAZING Karyn Keene at StoryForge Productions to revamp my website.

Taking some branding courses and having a coaching session with the wonderful Jaime Davis, I decided it was time to up the look of my site to give a personal touch to everything “JaymeeLynn.”   My logo I redid by buying various Photoshop design elements on Creative Market.  My photos I chose by going through some of my favorite moments in the 2 years I have been doing this crazy life.  And everything else was ALL Karyn.  I am in love with my new site and welcome any comments on it!
